The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum, will engage all children with hands-on learning experiences that spark imagination, pique curiosity, enhance creativity and develop problem-solving skills within a place of beauty, wonder, joy and magic. The Magic House is located in Kirkwood, MO, a charming city filled with shops and restaurants. As a special welcome, the website offers a link to special offers from Kirkwood community restaurants 

MADE for Kids is a satellite activity center of The Magic House (read more about it below).

With 20-plus exhibit areas (temporary exhibits vary), The Magic House features interactive exhibits designed to pique curiosity, spark imagination and foster a lifelong love of learning. Aligned with national and state academic standards, the Museum’s exhibits engage children in a variety of hands-on educational experiences and promote important 21st-century skills such as creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.

We’re highlighting just 3 of these exhibits – in three age categories:

0 – 2 years 
For Baby and Me
  Hop aboard a toddler-sized boat, sing the Wheels on the Bus, discover the peek-a-boo house, climb on the baby gym and learn important child development information in a space for infants, toddlers and their special grown-ups.

3 – 5+  years
Kids Construction Zone 
Construct a firehouse, learn what’s behind the walls of a building, design architectural plans, load up a wheelbarrow and drive a real construction vehicle.

6+ years
Future Play 
In collaboration with teamLab, creativity abounds as children work and play together using technology, art and their imagination in Future Play!

The Magic House is located in Kirkwood, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Kirkwood Road is the section of Lindbergh Boulevard north of Highway 44 and south of Manchester Road.

From the Lindbergh exit, The Magic House is located one mile north of I-44 or four miles south of I-40/64.

From Stillwater to The Magic House is a drive of approximately 7 hours using Cimarrow Turnpike (US-412 East) to Tulsa. Then continuing on I-44 E all the way to St. Louis, take exit 227B and continue north on Historic U.S. 66 W (or the parallel 67) to West Woodbine Avenue (take a right on Woodbine) and you will see The Magic House on the right.

General admission is $12.00 (ages one and above)
Active-duty U.S. military and immediate family: FREE admission
Senior citizens (65+) $11.50
Foster families with current foster license: FREE admission

MADE logo - A Kids Makerspace logoThe Magic House, MADE for Kids is a hands-on makerspace where kids ages 4-14 and their families play, explore, create and collaborate! Located in St. Louis City between the Central West End and the Loop, kids discover new interests and passions as they paint on a digital easel,  sculpt a clay creation, design for a 3D printer or laser cutter, build robots and circuits, launch a rocket and more.
